Welcome to the very first Nata & Co newsletter!

Olá! Thank you for joining our community and welcome to the very first edition of the Nata & Co monthly newsletter.

I’m Amy, Nata & Co’s Marketing Intern, and I’ll be bringing you all the latest news from our Portuguese cafés every month. From seasonal menu launches and behind-the-scenes stories to customer highlights, local events and exclusive updates, this is your monthly dose of everything happening at Nata & Co Cardiff and Nata & Co Bath.

Whether you’re a long-time pastel de nata lover or you’ve only recently discovered us, we’re so happy you’re here.

July at Nata & Co

Summer has officially arrived, and both of our cafés have been soaking up the sunshine. With our doors open, outdoor seating full and customers enjoying the warm weather, July has been one of our favourite months of the year.

Whether you’ve been enjoying views of Cardiff Castle or relaxing near Pulteney Bridge in Bath, it’s been wonderful seeing so many familiar and new faces.

Our coffee classics — lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos and espressos — remain customer favourites, but many of you have swapped hot drinks for something a little cooler.

This summer we’re serving: homemade iced lemonades, iced coffees, iced matcha, fresh fruit smoothies and seasonal blueberry & raspberry pastéis de nata. Perfect for cooling down while exploring Cardiff or Bath this summer.

Bath Boules Festival

One of the highlights of July was joining the Bath Boules Festival with our very own Nata & Co stand.

It was fantastic meeting so many of you, introducing even more people to authentic Portuguese pastries and being part of one of Bath’s most-loved summer events.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, and to Bath BID and the Bath Boules team for having us.

Portuguese Music Comes to Cardiff

We were delighted to welcome Tuna Feminina de Medicina to our Cardiff café as part of their UK tour. Travelling all the way from Porto, they performed traditional Portuguese music outside the café, bringing the sounds and spirit of Portugal to the heart of Cardiff.

A huge thank you to the group for sharing your incredible talent and helping us celebrate Portuguese culture with our customers and community. We’d also like to thank everyone who stopped by to enjoy the performance, soak up the atmosphere and, of course, try one of our freshly baked pastéis de nata.

Our New Website

Bath: Bath on the Beach (until 2 August), Jane Austen Festival preparations (late August) and Bath’s independent shops and markets.

Cardiff: Summer Craft Fair at Bute Park (1–2 August), The Hundred cricket at Sophia Gardens (3 & 12 August) and Cardiff Castle summer concerts throughout August.
